"Le Petit Verger" (The Little Orchard) is a charming little gite situated in the Parc National Perigord Limousin, just 25 minutes from Limoges airport and a little over two and a half hours from the Atlantic coast. Ideally placed in South West France for holidays, fishing and house hunting in Haute-Vienne, Dordogne and Charente regions.
"Le Petit Verger" is a completely self contained gîte which is part of a traditional french farmhouse nestled in the River Tardoire Valley on the edge of the village of Champagnac-La-Rivière. It has a south-west facing aspect in nearly an acre of garden.
There is a shady terrace, sunny fruit orchard and a plunge pool to cool down in.

We offer self catering accommodation of a high standard to anyone wishing to spend time enjoying the delights of the French countryside, its friendly people, its good food, wine and beautiful weather. Booking is simple and availability easy to view using our online calendar. You will find many quiet peaceful areas to roam on foot or by car with outstanding views and wildlife. Our village, Champagnac-La-Rivière, just a short stroll from the gîte, has a bakers, post office and a very friendly bar/restaurant serving superb value for money dishes.
Many airlines now fly regularly into Limoges Airport from London, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Southampton.

We can give house hunters advice based on our experiences in the region and have contacts with local estate agencies.

Many people who have stayed here in the Haute-Vienne, have fallen in love with the region and found their french dream here. We can assist you if you need to open a french bank account, arrange viewings at local estate agencies and have information regarding currency transfer to hand as well as allowing you free use of the internet should you wish to keep in touch with friends, family, business or search for property whilst you are here. In addition to accommodation and a friendly welcome we offer professional fly-casting tuition and tackle hire. Tony holds the S.T.A.N.I.C.qualification in trout fishing and is registered and insured to teach in France. Our nearest trout fishery is just 15 minutes away and whilst being an any method water, offers the flyfisher good sport on the fly. Introductory courses in fly fishing are available all year for guests or anglers who just wish to try this aspect of the sport. We can cater for the occasional angler with coarse and fly fishing tackle available for hire at very reasonable rates. Just add water! For all anglers there are many fishing opportunities locally, be it lakes or rivers, game, coarse or carp fishing.

Amateur archery equipment is also available for you to enjoy in our rear garden as well as boules of course.

If you find that our gite is booked for the dates that you require, please visit our sister site just up the lane from us in Tamisac, where you will find a two bedroomed gite offering spacious and value for money accommodation with views across the Limousin hills. We can accommodate groups of up to six people between the two gites.
