Tony holds a S.T.A.N.I.C qualification in flycasting and flyfishing. When based in the UK he helped teach upwards of 200 adults and children in the art of casting and fishing the fly. He worked a lot at Chirk Flyfishery in North Wales with Gwilym Hughes.

As part of your holiday Tony can, if you wish, give you tuition in casting. He can cover Roll casting, Overhead casting, Single and Double haul and techniques for overcoming adverse wind conditions. Tuition costs are a lot less if booked as part of the holiday with us.

Thanks to some good friends, we now have access to a small private lake for tuition. The lake is just 15 mins away from our farmhouse.

Tony is now registered to teach in France and has full third party liability insurance.

FISHING PERMITS AND TUITION/GUIDING

Prices for fishing permits will vary upon the waters that you fish. Private waters do not ask for a permit or "Carte De Peche Vacances)" but just charge a day ticket rate. This varies between €7- €10.

Currently holiday fishing licences( Carte De Peche Vacances)are only available from June - September.

Tuition if pre booked is at a rate of €10.00 per hour

€ 20.00 per hour if not pre booked.

Guiding will be €45.00 per day or part thereof.

Tackle hire is €15 per person per week. This includes Rod, Reel ,Flyline, and Leader.

We will have a range of complete flyfishing outfits here for you to use. Costs are minimal.We use Greys equipment as a rule but we do have a couple of Sage rods should you require them and also the superb Temple Fork Outfitters "Lefty Kreh" series of flyrods. These rods are sensational. You will be able to try one when you are here.

We will always have a range of leaders, flies etc. etc. in stock at the farmhouse.
